Announcing The Bullet Journal Method Book Club!

Hello Sunshine & Happy New Year!

With Ryder’s lovely book, The Bullet Journal Method, out now, I thought it would be fun to create a book club to discuss it!

Announcing The Bullet Journal Method Book Club

(I took this photo and wrote “ANNOUNCING” while Dee took inspiration from Ryder’s book cover - which he designed himself - and made the book club’s logo. I added a white shadow to the logo and I love the effect it gave it! Almost like it was burned onto my desk! I love how this came together - thanks again, Dee!)

Ryder is wonderful, he’s created such an incredible movement into mindfulness and intentionality by sharing the Bullet Journal with the world and now he’s written this monumental work! His book is a real treasure. It was incredible meeting him in person at his book launch, he’s the sweetest! We’ve become friends over the years, but even so, I was very nervous yet excited to meet him in person! He’s the real deal, he’s exactly like his videos, which is very refreshing. I’m excited about creating this book club to celebrate and discuss his book in depth with fellow Bullet Journalists!

I was thinking that we could discuss a different section of the book each week - that way we can give ourselves enough time to digest each section and discuss it with each other. It just so happens that there are 52 different sections in the book! How perfect is that?! Well, there are technically 54, but the last two are “Notes” and “Content.”

I’ve already read it, but each re-read of a book usually leads to fresh insights according to however your life is at the moment. It’ll also be wonderful to enjoy it and read it alongside those who are reading it for the very first time! This book club is open to those who have already read the book as well as those who eager to read it!

I created a Facebook Group along with an Instagram account to discuss the book on an ongoing basis.

I am also welcoming others who are interested in co-hosting and helping me lead the weekly discussions. If you’re interested, please fill out this form. :)

You’re cordially invited to join in at anytime! Please look at the Weekly Reading Plan below and see when you would be interested in joining in to discuss that week’s topic.

Update:

  • 1/2/2019: The lovely Dee from Decade Thirty has joined as a host! She’s been one of my closest friends ever since I joined the Bullet Journal Community, and I’m excited to have her on board! She created the Weekly Reading Plan printable that you can grab below :)

  • 1/5/2019: For those who don’t use either Facebook or Instagram, I’ve created a subreddit on Reddit to discuss as well! :)

  • 1/5/2019: Wow! I’m really happy to see how much excitement there is over this! I’ve ever started to receive some translations of the Weekly Reading Plan in other languages! See below for translations, and feel free to create them and let me know so I can add them here :) This is truly such a wonderful community!

Where will The Bullet Journal Method Book Club be hosted?

  • Facebook: The Bullet Journal Method Book Club

  • Instagram: @TheBulletJournalMethodBookClub

  • Reddit: /r/TheBuJoMethodBookClub

  • I might be open to hosting in-person book club meetings if you’re interested! Let me know if this is something you would be interested in by leaving a comment below or by sending me an email. If we get multiple hosts, then there could even be various book clubs around the world discussing the book together each week, how wonderful would that be? :)

How will this book club work?

  • There is a Weekly Reading Plan to mark are you read the book. It will be fun to see your progress!

  • There are 52 sections total to read, perfectly corresponding to the number of weeks in the year!

  • We will be reading one section each week.

  • There will be a corresponding post at the start of each week to allow for discussion and join in at your leisure.

  • The weekly posts will be posted in the Facebook group and on Instagram. You are invited to join in the conversation in either or both.

  • To keep discussion about each week’s topic together in one place, you’re highly encouraged to discuss in each week’s post.

  • If you would like to create your own post, feel free to use the hashtag #thebulletjournalmethodbookclub to make it easy to find :)

  • Feel free to ask questions!
